darling! You didn't tell me you were coming here tonight!
Spike:  What?
Lynda:  Are these all
your friends? I've heard so much about you.
Andy:  Well I ain’t
heard a thing about you, love.
Lynda:  He hasn't
mentioned me? Oh we go to the same dance class together don't we, darling?
Andy:  Dance
class?  
Lynda:  He didn't
mention that either? Oh you're so modest! You know, I think Spike's got a
serious future in ballet.
Spike:  Ballet?
Lynda:  But you're
more interested in your poetry aren't you, sweetheart?
Spike:  Look, she's
lying. I don't do poetry and I don't do ballet.
Lynda:  Oh Spike! Next
you’ll be denying you're on the Junior Gazette!
Spike:  They already
know that I work at the Junior Gazette.
Andy:  Yeah, but you
did deny it before, didn't you?
Lynda:  Can I just
read you a poem he wrote me for my birthday?
Spike:  No, I don't
think you can!
 
He takes Lynda aside.
 
Lynda:  He's so
impulsive!
