Spike: You met a girl called Lynda Day?

Crawford: Should I have?

Spike: There's a subsidiary company--makes toys and stuff. 

Crawford: I don't see what that's got -

Spike: And got in trouble a couple of years back. A dangerous toy. Kidsinjured. One fatally, that sort of thing. (into the cell phone) Hi. I'm in thebasement of the Slattenheim building talking to a jerk in a sweater.

Crawford: Who is that? 


Spike: Rumor has it that the company had an advance report the toy wasdangerous, and buried it. Lynda was checking that out. Are you sure you haven'tmet her?

Crawford: I haven't spoken to any newspapers! 

Spike: Thank you. I didn't say she was from a newspaper.
