Lynda:  Mr. Sullivan. You said you'd have thatarticle for the paper today, have you got it?

Mr. Sullivan:  Good morning, Lynda.

Lynda:  Good morning, sir. Have you got it?

Mr. Sullivan:  Would tomorrow do?

Lynda:  Oh, sir! I've given you two extra daysalready! I mean, come on!

Mr. Sullivan:  And speaking of things not done, your Englishessay was due in yesterday.

Lynda:  Hey, sir! You put me in charge of the JuniorGazette. I'm not just a pupil now; I'm an editor. And I am kind of busy.

Mr. Sullivan:  And I'm not just teaching you English andwriting you articles. I am Assistant Head of this school and I also am"kind of busy"!

Lynda:  (accusingly) Then how can you spend eightminutes in the toilet?

Mr. Sullivan:  Actually, Lynda, I was not aware that I wasbeing timed.

Lynda:  I just happened to notice! That's two minutesover your average.

Mr. Sullivan:  There are times, Lynda, when I think youought to be fitted with an off switch.
