Lynda:  Spike,darling! You didn't tell me you were coming here tonight!

Spike:  What?

Lynda:  Are these allyour friends? I've heard so much about you.

Andy:  Well I ain’theard a thing about you, love.

Lynda:  He hasn'tmentioned me? Oh we go to the same dance class together don't we, darling?

Andy:  Danceclass?  

Lynda:  He didn'tmention that either? Oh you're so modest! You know, I think Spike's got aserious future in ballet.

Spike:  Ballet?

Lynda:  But you'remore interested in your poetry aren't you, sweetheart?

Spike:  Look, she'slying. I don't do poetry and I don't do ballet.

Lynda:  Oh Spike! Nextyou’ll be denying you're on the Junior Gazette!

Spike:  They alreadyknow that I work at the Junior Gazette.

Andy:  Yeah, but youdid deny it before, didn't you?

Lynda:  Can I justread you a poem he wrote me for my birthday?

Spike:  No, I don'tthink you can!


 
He takes Lynda aside.


 
Lynda:  He's soimpulsive!
