Cut to later. Kenny is reading it to Lynda.

 

Kenny:  "Thereare forged absence notes so the students who should be at school can work forthe paper, and even homework copies are circulated among the Junior Gazettestaff to save them time for their other activities".

Lynda:  Oh, no!

 

Cut to the Gazette news office. Lynda is standing withChrissie. 

 

Lynda:  "Nor dothe financial dealings of the junior paper bear too close in inspection. Inparticular the activities of one Colin Mathews, who has several times been inserious trouble for various illicit commercial ventures".

Chrissie:  Oh dear…

 

Cut to Kerr's office. 

 

Kerr:  "Inconclusion, I think that in the very least the activities of the Junior Gazettemerits close inspection."

Lynda:  Name andaddress not provided. Do you normally publish letters from people who won't even

give you their name?

Kerr:  No. Unless it'sa particularly interesting letter, or has an unusual angle on something. Orprovides

information I wasn't previously aware of! 

Lynda:  How do youknow one word of that letter - that anonymous letter - is true?

Kerr:  I don't. I'mjust hoping it isn't!
