Ethel:  Yes?

Spike:  Hi. Listen, Igot this friend. He was kind of wondering - well, if you….Well, if you was freetonight.

Ethel:  You don't haveto be shy.

Spike:  What?

Ethel: "Friend".

Spike:  No, really.I'm asking for a friend.

Ethel:  You're Spike,aren't you?

Spike:  Yeah. But Igot this friend… 

Ethel:  I'd neverthought you'd be so shy!

Spike:  Look,honestly, I am asking for a friend. (turns around) Colin!

 

She glances over his shoulder.

 

Ethel:  I don't seeany friend.

Spike:  Well, he'saround that corner. I'll show him to you. Come on! I'll show you.

 

They walk over to the corner. Spike opens the door leadingto the staircase. 

 

Spike:  Colin?Colin!!!
