Colin: The chess girl?

Suzy: Yes.

Colin:  I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. 

Suzy: For what?

Colin: For what, she says. For not pestering him for a game. You know how itis. Word gets out he's in town, and every young punk with a chessboard ischallenging him in the street! (to Frazz) How is it going, champ?

Frazz: Ah, I'm winning.

Colin: Remember those bishops. (to Suzy) Let me do you a favour.

 

He hands her his card. 

 

Suzy: (reads aloud) "C.M. Enterprises".

Colin: CM, that's Chess Management.

Suzy: Not Colin Mathews?

Colin: What?

Suzy: Your name. It's here.

Colin: Oh right, CM - Colin Mathews. What a coincidence! Hey, champ! Guess whatelse CM can stand for?

Frazz: Well didn't you say this morning, maybe ”Chess Management”?

Colin: Oh right. Ah, don't talk yourself off your game, champ. Listen, Suzy, ifyou ever think of going into chess seriously I want you to give me a callbecause we could discuss some creative concepts, okay? By the way, I caught oneof your matches the other day and I was impressed. Just a little word of adviceabout your game plan though - show you legs more!

Suzy: (incredulously) My legs?!

Colin: Yeah. You're a good kid, Suzy. 

 

He gets up and walks away, then turns.

 

Colin: What?

Suzy: Nothing.
Colin:  Oh,sorry, I thought you just called me back and asked me to manage your chesscareer. My mistake.
