Winters:  You haveabsolutely no right to behave in the way that you did! The girl was alreadygoing to pieces over her exams and all you can do is to demand more work fromher!

Lynda:  Sir, I didn'tknow!

Winters:  Lynda, youare supposed to be one of her friends!

Lynda:  And she issupposed to be one of mine! And she spoke to you, not me! Sir.

Winters:  And you assuredme there would be no conflict between work for the exams and work for thepaper.

Lynda:  There won'tbe! Especially not for her - now she's walked out on us!

Winters:  And youresent that?

Lynda:  Every timesomeone quits, it means more work for the rest of us! We've got exams too!

Winters:  And just howmany would need to quit before you are forced to halt the paper?

Lynda:  Off the top ofmy head… Off the top of my head I couldn't say. 

Winters:  But it couldhappen.

Lynda:  Colin told youthe financial situation. We could stop, but we couldn't start again.

Winters:  Comparedwith your academic success, I think that hardly matters! The Junior Gazettewill not get you a job. Your exams might!
