Jenny:  Are you kidding? Look, my Dad's a rich man,he's got all the right friends. He had that story killed in every newspaperthat so much as glanced at it. So how come Kenny, the boy reporter, knows the wholething?

Kenny:  The boy reporter worked it out!

Jenny:  How?

Kenny:  An old man used the High Point lift justafter your brother. And he said that it smelled like a cleaning lady's bucket.Which got me to thinking. Suppose your brother was sniffing solvents in thelift – I mean it'd explain the smell. Suppose he just went up to the top of thebuilding for a bit of peace and passing out. Suppose he was so high…Jenny, I've heard of it happening. Kids sohigh on that stuff they think they can fly! Look my guess is he climbed on oneof the barriers and just took off. The ground must have come as a bit of asurprise.

Jenny:  Go home.

Kenny:  What?

Jenny:  Go home, Kenny. Now!

Kenny:  (angrily) I don't understand you, Eliot!

Jenny:  Yeah, I know.

Kenny:  You spend two years drawing your brother'sbody on the pavement right where he fell ‑ you spend two years trying to benoticed ... And when somebody *does* notice, what do you do?

Jenny:  Yeah! You're right! I wanted to be noticed.The trouble is, boy reporter, you noticed the wrong thing!
