Lynda: Justthink, Spike, you missed your date for nothing.

Spike:  Oh Charlotte!I completely forgot! She must be still asleep in the newsroom!

 

He gets up. Charlotte walks in and comes over to theirtable. Spike takes off his sun-glasses, staring at her in astonishment. Herhair is streaked in a multitude of bright colours.

 

Charlotte:  Spike,they told me you were in here. You might have woken me. Listen, I'm going homenow, okay? I'll see you next week. It's been...interesting.

Spike:  Yeah?

Charlotte:  Look, hasanyone in here got a mirror? 

 

The news team stare at her in shocked silence. Tiddler andKenny are having a hard time keeping a straight face. 

 

Charlotte:  I mustlook a sight... Never mind. (leaves)

Spike:  (sits down)You had something to do with that, didn't you? I know you did. 

Lynda:  Eat yourbreakfast.
