Colin: Don't you like your dad, is that it? Look, Cindy, I get the feeling youare trying to tell me something here. 

Cindy: (her head comes up)  I'm not.

Colin: Then why... Are you frightened of your dad? Your dad, does he hit you?

Cindy: He never hits me.

Colin: (reaches out to her) But then why…

Cindy: (shies away) Don't touch me!

 

He flashes back to previousoccasions when she's shied away from touch.

 

Colin:  (realising) Oh, no. Oh, God no. I can't dealwith this.
