Hi all, While our son watched his first episodes of PG quite a while ago, he only got back into it a couple of weeks ago, when his sister watched a few eps (we're going to make her wait before she progresses much further due to some subject matter that we know she's sensitive to). He was taken enough by it that he has now watched every episode (Ann and I have managed to watch a few along the way with him). First thing to say is that the show really holds up! It was amazing to see my sixteen year old son reacting the same way I did as a teen almost thirty years ago. It's really made me want to do a rewatch myself (though that will be tricky to do without spoiling things for my daughter). And the show is just so beautifully put together - from Steven's writing (the little touches... just amazing) to the multiple versions of the theme and incidental music, the background action (a lot of people spent a lot of hours plausibly going through the motions of making a newspaper) and just amazing actors. I know that's why we're all here, but it was wonderful to go back after such a long break and see that it absolutely still stands up. My son is not sure of a favourite episode, but the comic scenes stood out and in particular the N. V. Gillespie scene from series 2 really (he had just rewatched it in viewing the DVD commentaries, which may be a factor) and he liked series 2 as a whole a lot. He liked a lot of the darker topics too. He liked the opening and closing music from series 2 the best (he is a big afficioado of theme music in general). I enjoyed his reactions to some of the more madcap moments (when he watched the pet/window scene in Windfall, I swear I could even remember making the same faces the first time I watched it). Regards to all, Murray
