Lynda:  Look, could we squeeze it in before seven?I'm out tonight. 

Spike:  No! Cancel!

Lynda:  Spike, I can't! Thisguy is an important contact for me. I need to keep on his good side.

Spike:  (sarcastically) Oh, really? And whatinteresting joint activities will that involve?

Lynda:  Don't be disgusting! I'm just going to butterhim up. Look, this is perfectly straightforward and about forward. I'm simplygoing out for a pleasant social evening with a good friend in order to furthermy career. 

Spike:  So it wouldn't be the slightest bit awkwardif I was to come along?

Lynda:  Why would it be?

Spike:  Good...

Lynda:  One thing, though. 

Spike:  What?

Lynda:  Could you bring a date?
