Lynda:  So?

Tiddler:  So you’ve only got one week.

Lynda:  One week?

Tiddler:  To tell him you love him. To make him stay!

Lynda:  I don’t love him, Tiddler, and he’s notstaying!

 

Shegets up. Tiddler follows her.

 

Tiddler:  Lynda, you can't do this. You owe it toeveryone in this room.

Lynda:  What?

Tiddler:  We've all been following this dopey lovestory since page one. You're a part of everyone's lives

now.  There are jokes about you and rabbits namedafter you. Watch this. (to Michelle) Spike!

Michelle:(wakes up) Lynda!

Tiddler:  See?

Lynda:  Go back to sleep!

Tiddler:  We’re all just hanging in there for the happyending - the traditional in these situations.

Lynda:  Well, one thing I can promise you right now,Tiddler. There is going to be no traditional ending! (holds up a blank sheet)Now, do you see this?

Tiddler:  It’s blank.

Lynda:  I know. Go and fix it!
