Spike: You know…It's been a whole two weeks since a local office buildingdropped in on me and my favourite record store. I could have died, Lynda. Inearly died. And I sat there, and I talked to somebody who did die. And youknow, not once have you asked me about it. Not once.

Lynda: Spike, I didn't know this was going on in you. Why didn’t you say?

Spike:  Ishouldn't have to.

Lynda: But you've been your normal self - laughing, joking…

Spike: Drowning? Anyway, that's not what I want to talk to you about. Look I'mtrying to get through this quick, because I’m about make the biggest damn foolof myself ever. So don't say anything, just listen okay?

Lynda: Spike…

Spike: Just…You'll get your turn, give me mine. (exhales) You know, when you'refiguring that you might be checking out on 

a permanent basis, and talking to someone who'sdoing just that… (exhales) certain things become a lot clearer to you. Youknow, like what you're gonna miss when you're gone. What you really care about.Look what it comes down to is this. I love you, Lynda. I mean I really loveyou. You know, it's the whole deal - the works, forever, everything, right. Andthat kinda brings me round to an obvious question. And so, because I'm tryingto get though this quickly - could you give me a speedy reply? 

Lynda:  Icare about you. A lot.

Spike:  Ilove you, Lynda.

Lynda: You're very, very important to me.

Spike:  Ilove you.

Lynda: (tearfully) I'm sorry.

Spike: Yeah. So I figured.
