Head Waiter:  Have you booked atable?  

Colin:  (nervously) A table, yes.I've, I've, I've booked a table. Two chairs. I-I'm meeting someone so twochairs would be good.

Head Waiter:  Name, sir?

Colin:  Judy Wellman. She's a verynice girl, she'll be no trouble.

Head Waiter:  (dryly) Thank youfor putting my mind at rest, sir. And your name?

Colin:  Mathews. Colin Mathews.

Head Waiter:  Ah, yes. The younglady has in fact arrived.

Colin:  Oh, has she?

 

He looks around and sees Judy sitting across the room. She smiles andwaves at him. He smiles and waves back.

 

Head Waiter:  Shall I show you toyour table?

Colin:  No thanks, I-I think I canfind it myself.

Head Waiter:  Well, perhaps youwouldn't mind showing *me*?

Colin:  Sure! Sure…
