Frazz:  Ihave a problem, Colonel X. I was wondering if I could talk to you about it?

Colonel X: Of course!

Frazz: See, there was once a guy named John England. Funny thing, he lookedexactly like you.

Colonel X: Ah, a robot!

Frazz: No, an actor. It's a bit of a sad story really. He was killed in a caraccident along with his wife.

Colonel X: That is a sad story.

Frazz: Yes, but there's a twist. See, he didn't actually really die. His wifedid, but he survived. The press misreported the story, and his family decidednot to correct the mistake.

Colonel X: How strange. Why not?

Frazz: Out of kindness, perhaps? See, John England couldn't quite cope withwhat happened. He began to lose it a bit, ended up in a psychiatric hospital.And now he thinks he's you. I was wondering Colonel X, if you had any advice?

Colonel X: I think I know what you are trying to say to me, Frazz. 

Frazz: You do?

Colonel X: But I fear you are somewhat misguided. Let us imagine this John England.It is entirely possible that he's not a particularly happy man. Perhaps he hasbecome hopelessly typecast in one role, and his acting career is effectivelyover. He may even drink rather too much. Possibly he even blames himself forthe accident that killed his wife. In those circumstances, is it so odd that hedecides to become someone else?

Frazz: Are you telling me he's happier walking around thinking that he'sColonel X?

Colonel X: Why not? After all, you’d have to be mad to be John England.
