Winters:  (enters) Janet, it's me! I had troublegetting away. We have to talk, there is no way we can carry on doing…

 

He cuts off midsentence. Colin getsup. 

 

Colin:  You're the guy with the hat! I don't believethis, this is totally Wild Stuff City! You're like a headmaster. She's yoursecretary. And you're her lodger. (realizes) Oh…The note was was for him,right? (turns to leave) 

Janet:  Colin, wait!

Winters:  Colin! Listen to me for a moment, please. 

Colin:  Aren’t you married?

Winters:  You still work at that…the Junior Gazette,don’t you?

Colin:  Why?

Winters:  (glances at Janet) We’ve been… trying to keepthis quiet. 

Colin:  Well, it was certainly news to me!
