I think it was called the Internet, because when I was doing a study among
online fans around 2000 and asked them how many of them had been around
before the Internet, I got lectured about how old the Internet was. I've
forgotten how old it was, though! :-)

Thank you for sharing! I think a lot of us had trouble coming to terms with
our sexuality, though I was a bit younger than you when I came out (22).
I'm glad it worked out for you in the end!

I have the programme guide! I remember that it was fairly cheap to buy, but
they wanted it paid in international cheques, which cost more than the book
itself! The guy at the bank told me, "You'd be better off putting the money
in an envelope!" But I didn't dare to do that, so I paid the extra sum.

I don't think so – but it reminds me that when I saw the show Misfits, I
commented that Nathan was "like an R-rated Spike Thomson", and a few
episodes later Dexter showed up playing his dad!
