Frazz:Erm... I can't actually play chess. It's all lies. And the only reason I went through with it is because I like you and I thought that if I owned up then I wouldn't have a chance. Well it's no point in pretending now though, is it? Because I really can't play chess. Thought I'd mention it.

Suzy:(upset) Pretty stupid!

Frazz:Look, on the whole I'd rather go to a party. And there's a good one, on tonight. What do you reckon?

Suzy:I don't know!

Frazz:(gets up) Listen everyone, we decided to go to a party instead. You understand.

Suzy:*If* I want to go...

Frazz:Hey, Colin - deal with this.

He walks out with Suzy. Colin quickly hides the money in his inner pocket.

Suzy:Frazz, I don't know if I want to do this! Why would I want to go to a party with you?

Frazz:Because you like my nose.

Suzy:Oh, I must be pretty stupid!

Frazz:Very pretty.

Cut to the school yard. Lynda is reading a copy of the Junior Gazette, the front page carrying a large picture of Frazz and Suzy leaving the match. The headline reads “Chess sensation! Players leave together”.
