It's an interesting one - I probably took these jokes seriously as an
innocent and naive 15 year-old... Right now in 2025 they clearly look
like jokes to me but how much has the world changed?

See also Colin in Head and Heart's throwaway line with binoculars when
asked if the school secretary is still getting dressed... is it humour
that we'd call 'edgy' today that would be proceeded with a warning that
the show 'reflects the attitudes of the time' if shown again today? :)
