Kenny:Our proposal for the new Junior Gazette. Now, run it commercially, and make enough of a profit so that we can employ any of the current newsteam that wish to remain with us.

Lynda:While you’re considering this, we will publish one last edition of the current Junior Gazette, explaining the situation and our intentions. And then close the paper – depending your decision.

Kerr:Actually it’s not our decision.

Mr Sullivan:(surprised) What?

Lynda:Mr Campbell’s?

Kerr:He owns the paper.

Lynda:Then we go to him.

Mr Sullivan:This is becoming ridiculous!

Kerr:There’s a board meeting Friday evening. I suppose you two can make your pitch then. I’ll try and arrange it.

Lynda:Appropriate. Our last day of school.

Kenny:And my gig.

Lynda:Well I hardly think that matters! Cancel it!

Kenny:Yeah, sure. Right, yeah.

Lynda:Well, that’s really what we’ve got to say. Please let us know about the Friday meeting, Mr Kerr. Until then...

She gets up and walks out.

Lynda:Come on, Kenny.

Kenny:Yeah, coming! See you. (leaves)

Mr Sullivan:See you... That’s the thing about teaching, Matt. Sometimes they actually learn.
